BEML pays Rs 45 crore dividend to Govt for FY'25

BEML Limited has paid a dividend of Rs 45 crore to the Government for the financial year 2024-25 on Monday

New Delhi: BEML Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has paid a dividend of Rs 45 crore to the Government for the financial year 2024-25. The company’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Shantanu Roy, presented the dividend cheque to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday.

The occasion was also attended by Sanjiv Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), and other senior officials from the Ministry of Defence.

The Board of Directors of BEML had earlier declared a second interim dividend of Rs 15 per equity share (face value Rs 10), adding to a first interim dividend of Rs 5 per share declared earlier in the year. This brings the total dividend payout for FY'25 to Rs 20 per share.

The dividend announcement comes on the back of strong financial performance by the company. BEML posted record-breaking results for the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, reporting a net profit of Rs 288 crore — a 12 percent increase over the Rs 257 crore profit recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Profit before tax stood at Rs 395 crore, marking a 14 percent year-on-year growth from Rs 348 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,653 crore, up from Rs 1,514 crore, while EBITDA also saw a 14 percent increase, climbing to Rs 427 crore from Rs 375 crore.
