PESB selects Nagesh Das Pai as Director (Corporate Planning, Project & Business Development) of Goa Shipyard Ltd

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Nagesh Das Pai for the post of Director (Corporate Planning, Project & Business Development) of Goa Shipyard Ltd

New Delhi: Nagesh Das is set to be next Director (Corporate Planning, Project & Business Development) of Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Miniratna defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager (Production-Navy Projects) in the same organisation.

A total of 12 candidates were interviewed for the position, including senior executives from Goa Shipyard Limited, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited, and officers from the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau and Fleet Maintenance divisions.

The PESB recommendation will now require approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) before the appointment is formally made.

With this selection, Goa Shipyard is expected to strengthen its leadership team as it continues to focus on shipbuilding modernisation, naval project execution, and long-term capacity expansion.
