Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at ACI Asia-Pacific meet

On the third day of 'ACI Asia-Pacific Regional HR Committee Meeting' Delegates commemorated the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhi at Indian Aviation Academy (IAA)

New Delhi: AAI hosted ACI Asia-Pacific Regional HR Committee Meeting on the theme 'HR Readiness for Future Airports' in New Delhi from November 12 to 14. Around 30 delegates from 10 countries attended the event.

On the third day of the ACI Asia-Pacific meet, to showcase the training activities of AAI, a tour of Indian Aviation Academy (IAA), New Delhi was organised for the delegates. Apart from presentation and walkthrough of IAA, presentations were made by AAI training institutions like Civil Aviation Training College and Fire Training Centers.

Thereafter, a presentation was made by the Business Development team of AAI, commemorating the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhi. The session deliberated the relevance of philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi on November 15, Human Resource Management and Mahatma Gandhi being the Management Guru of the new millennium. The four pillars of Gandhi Ji's philosophy- Truth, Non-Violence, Self-respect and Satyagraha are still being practised by corporates globally. Speaking on the occasion, AAI's Executive Director (Human Resource) Sanjay Jain,  stressed on the importance of teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and its effectiveness in the Human Resource Management.

On this occasion, a 'SkyFit' session was also conducted for the delegates. SkyFit, which is a concept developed by AAI to manage the stress of aviation professionals and air passengers using simple breathing techniques and stretching exercises, was widely appreciated by the international delegates.
