GRSE receives Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar for outstanding Hindi implementation

The recognition is a result of GRSE’s efforts towards promoting the use and wider dissemination of Hindi in its official functioning

New Delhi: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd. has been conferred the "Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar" for 2025–26 in recognition of its outstanding implementation of Official Language Hindi.

The award was presented to GRSE Chairman and Managing Director Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.) by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah during the Hindi Diwas celebrations and the Sixth All India Official Language Conference held in Navi Mumbai on September 14.

The award is conferred by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs for notable efforts towards the implementation and promotion of Hindi in public sector undertakings.

The event was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Thane/Navi Mumbai MP Naresh Ganpat Mhaskey and Secretary, Department of Official Language, Anshuli Arya, among other dignitaries.

From GRSE, Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) Capt (IN) P Sunilkumar (Retd.) and Senior Manager (Official Language) Manish Kumar Singh were also present.

The recognition is a result of GRSE’s efforts towards promoting the use and wider dissemination of Hindi in its official functioning.

The shipbuilder said it remains committed to advancing the cause of Official Language Hindi while contributing to nation-building.
