NHPC celebrates 76th Independence Day

New Delhi: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company celebrated India's 76th Independence Day with full patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on August 15, 2022.'

"The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by NHPC's Chairman & Managing Director AK Singh and singing of the national anthem at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad. NHPC's Director (Technical) YK Chaubey, Director (Finance) RP Goyal, Director (Projects) Biswajit Basu and CVO AK Srivastava were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers and employees.

Speaking on the occasion, NHPC CMD AK Singh extended his greetings to the entire NHPC family and praised all NHPC employees for their hard work and commitment. Referring to the address of the Prime Minister of India Speech from Red Fort wherein the Prime Minister has stressed on the problem of corruption, CMD asked all employees to fight against corruption in their daily activities. NHPC's CMD also spoke on the importance on hydropower in generating clean and green energy and highlighted the overall socio-economic development of local areas which is ushered in by the construction of hydropower projects.

On this occasion, Singh also presented Certificates of Appreciation to Paramedical staff, Security personnel and Housekeeping Staff for outstanding performance in their duties.
