SECL Summer Camp 2026 concludes with Grand Finale

SECL on Tuesday concluded its 21-day Summer Camp 2026 with a grand closing ceremony

New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) on Tuesday concluded its 21-day Summer Camp 2026 with a grand closing ceremony at DAV Public School, SECL Vasant Vihar, Bilaspur. The event marked the culmination of a series of educational, recreational and skill-development activities aimed at fostering the holistic development of children.

The closing ceremony featured vibrant performances by participants in yoga, dance, music, sports, arts and crafts, reflecting the learning and talent developed during the camp. The programme was attended by SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Harish Duhan as the chief guest and Shashi Duhan, President of Shraddha Mahila Mandal, along with senior SECL officials, department heads, HR-JCC representatives, Welfare Committee members, parents and children.

The cultural presentations captivated the audience, while yoga and fitness demonstrations showcased discipline, focus and physical well-being among participants. Dance, music and art performances highlighted creativity, confidence and self-expression. Parents also expressed appreciation for the positive transformation and enhanced confidence observed in their children during the camp.

Addressing the gathering, Duhan said that summer camps serve as effective platforms for the overall development of children beyond recreation. He encouraged participants to remain lifelong learners, adopt healthy lifestyles and continue nurturing their talents. He also reiterated SECL's commitment to the welfare and well-being of its employees and their families.

As part of the concluding programme, SECL organized a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Dignitaries planted saplings and distributed plants among children, promoting environmental conservation and encouraging a sense of responsibility towards nature.

The summer camp, held from May 18 to June 10, witnessed participation from around 175 children. Participants were divided into age-based groups and engaged in a broad range of activities, including fitness training, sports, yoga, music, dance, arts and crafts, science and innovation, public speaking, leadership development and other educational and recreational programmes designed to support all-round growth.
