IRCTC recruitment 2020: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has invited job applications from the eligible candidates for its Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). Eligible candidates can apply online before April 23. The post will fall vacant on February 2, 2021. Currently, Mahendra Pratap Mall is serving as CMD of IRCTC.
The CMD is the Chief Executive of the corporation and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government/ Shareholders. He/She is responsible for the efficient functioning of the corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- 3,20,000/- (IDA)
Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years
The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central government including the Armed Forces of the union and All India Services; (c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)
The applicant should be a graduate with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution. Applicants with Technical/ MBA qualifications will have added advantage.
Applicant should possess adequate experience at the senior level of management in a large organisation of repute. Applicants with experience in Hospitality or Tourism or IT or Finance or Marketing will have added advantage. Railway related experience in the above areas would be an added advantage.
