Arun Kumar Shukla is the new CMD, HCL

Shukla currently working as Director (Operations) with Hindustan Copper Limited has been chosen for the post of CMD in a meeting of PESB held on Wednesday

New Delhi: Arun Kumar Shukla will be the new Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL). PESB recommended his name after interviews held on Wednesday. Arun Kumar Shukla is presently serving as Director (Operations) Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) at Kolkata Head Quater.

Last year in June 2018 only he had become the Director of the company.

Within one year Shukla has leapt to the top post. Before joining Hindustan Copper, he has worked as Executive Director with NMDC Limited as well. Before NMDC, he has worked with Central Coalfields limited (CCl) for about 21 years. Shukla is a well-known expert in coal as well as the metal mining sector.

There were as many as three candidates who had appeared for this post.
