NCL gives old dumpers a make-over to make them safe, operator-friendly

New Delhi: In order to make the old dumpers operator-friendly, safe and more reliable, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has technically upgraded dumpers at its Central Workshop (CWS).  In association with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the company has made phenomenal changes in the main frame, dump body guide, operator's cabin, viscous mounting, hydraulic tank and parking brake system of the dumpers that has led to better operator comfort, improved reliability with enhanced safety features.

In the first lot, two dumpers have been fully upgraded at CWS and deployed at Block-B coal project of the company, showing robust performance. Buoyant NCL has put another three dumpers for upgradation.
