New Delhi: The Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, has been awarded 'IEI Centenary Industry Excellence Award 2019' for demonstrating business excellence. The award was presented by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and MSME, Nitin Gadkari to REIL's Managing Director (MD) Dr AK Jain in the presence of other dignitaries on November 6 in New Delhi.

While speaking on the occasion Dr Jain said that the REIL has provided tools and services through innovation, so that every person, every organisation is empowered. While making history, technology has reached rural areas and the REIL is fully dedicated to the upliftment of rural India's economy, he added.

He also informed that the company has achieved its business targets in series in last eight years and achieved the highest turnover of the last financial year 2018-19. The net worth of the company has gone up to five times to more than 100 crore.

Dr Jain further said that the company will strategically contribute through the creation and installation of EV charging Infrastructure under FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) scheme in the e-Mobility Mission of the government. Company's agro electronics and renewable energy business group and in field of e-Mobility is ready to contribute to Skilling India Mission to reduce the skill gap at different levels.

Dr Jain thanked the organisers and the Jury, for selecting REIL for this prestigious award. He also congratulated the employees of REIL for this award and assured that the company would continue to deliver electronics, renewable energy and information technology-based solutions and services for the social and economic development of rural and un-urbanised rural brethren.
