Services on Delhi Metro Yellow Line will be impacted. Here’s why

New Delhi: To undertake planned track maintenance work on the Delhi Metro Yellow Line, train services between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate section will be run on a single line (through down line) after 9.30 pm till the end of revenue services on February 22 and from the start of revenue services till 7.

Delhi Metro has made special arrangements on Yellow Line

To ensure that there is no inconvenience to commuters during these non-peak hours, the Delhi Metro has also made special arrangements on the section. Short loop train operation will be done from Vishwavidyalaya to Samaypur Badli and from Kashmere Gate to HUDA City Centre during the said period. The frequency of the trains will remain as per the routine time table in the section. Between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate, trains will be available at a frequency of 15 minutes.

Feeder buses will be deployed from Vishwavidyalaya to Kashmere Gate stations to provide ease to commuters affected in this section. The passengers can avail this service free of cost. Announcements will also be made at stations and inside trains on Yellow Line about the destination of trains and respective platforms for changeover during this period.

Presently, the Delhi Metro network consists of about 389 Km with 285 stations. The network has now crossed the boundaries of Delhi to reach Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh in Haryana.
