Vartika Shukla going to be next Director (Technical) of EIL

New Delhi: Vartika Shukla is set to be next Director (Technical) of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). Her name has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday. She is currently serving as Executive Director (Technical) in the same organisation.

Shukla has been selected for the post of Director (Technical) of EIL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of six candidates including Shukla, who were on the list, were from EIL and one candidate was from GAIL (India) Limited.

Educational background

Vartika Shukla holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institue of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. She has a pretty long association of about 32 years with EIL, that began in July 1988. She possesses more than 32 years of professional experience in chemical engineering. She has served upon various positions of the organisation.

She is a recipient of gold trophies of the 'SCOPE Excellence Awards' in 'outstanding woman manager in PSEs' category.

Engineers India Limited (EIL)

Engineers India Limited (EIL) is a design and engineering company in the field of petroleum refineries, petrochemicals, oil and gas processing, offshore structures and platforms, fertilizers, metallurgy and power. EIL provides services such as design, engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning assistance and project management.

EIL was set up in 1965 to provide engineering and related technical services for petroleum refineries and other industrial projects. Currently, EIL has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemical Limited Head Office in New Delhi and fertilizer and chemical plant in Ramagundam, Telangana.
