WCL’s Shyam Murari Choudhary is now SECL’s new Director (Finance)

Choudhary has been serving as Director (Finance) at WCL since March 2016. Previously, he has served as General Manager at Coal India

New Delhi: Shyam Murari Choudhary is going to take over as Director (Finance) at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) as his name has been recommended by the Public Enetrprise Selection Board (PESB). He is currently serving as Director (Finance) at Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).

Choudhary was selected for the pose by a PESB panel from a list of eight candidates. At least six candidates on the list were from different subsidiaries of Coal India. There was one candidate from Oil India Limited and another from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).

Choudhary has been serving as Director (Finance) at WCL since March 2016. Previously, he has served as General Manager (in-charge) of CIL. A Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant and a Company Secretary, Choudhary's career in coal industry spans over three decades. He is also the recipient of Special Achievement Award for the formulation of a unique financial scheme related to mine closure plan.
