CONCOR Director (Domestic Division) PK Agrawal gets tenure extension

Ministry of Railways has given a tenure extension to CONCOR's Director (Domestic Division) Pradip Kumar Agrawal till further notice

New Delhi: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) Director (Domestic Division) PK Agrawal has been given a tenure extension beyond June 30, 2021. The Ministry of Railways in an order issued on June 30, 2021, said that Agrawal, whose tenure will be ending on June 30, 2021, will continue to hold the post of Director (Domestic Division) of the company beyond June 30, 2021, and until further orders, pending approval of the competent authority. This information has been shared by the Railway PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Thursday.

Agrawal is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer. He has been serving as Director (Domestic Division) of CONCOR since July 1, 2016. Prior to joining CONCOR, he had worked for Indian Railways for more than 17 years on various important assignments, both at divisional and zonal headquarter level covering operations, commercial, marketing and safety of Indian Railways. During his tenure in CONCOR, he has successfully managed Container Train Operations for the Region which includes JN Port and various CFSs and ICDs in the Region.

He has also worked as Chief Executive Officer for APM Terminals, Mumbai (GTIPL) for five years before joining as Director (Domestic Division), CONCOR. During his tenure as CEO of GTIPL, he has taken various landmark initiatives towards improving productivity, efficiency and safety of the terminals. He has simplified various operating procedures in the terminal and pioneer in introducing paperless gate-transactions, which was a step towards ease of doing business. The Terminal has also consecutively achieved performance of 2 million TEUs p.a. and recognised as the best Container Terminal by the maritime fraternity during the last five years.
