NHPC organised ‘Vasant Utsav 2021’ with great fervour and enthusiasm at the NHPC Residential complex, Surajkund, Faridabad on Saturday

New Delhi: NHPC Limited organised 'Vasant Utsav 2021' with great fervour and enthusiasm at the NHPC's residential complex, Surajkund, Faridabad on Saturday. It was inaugurated by NHPC's CMD AK Singh in the presence of NHPC's Director (Personnel) NK Jain, Director (Technical) YK Chaubey, Director (Finance) RP Goyal, Director (Projects) Biswajit Basu,  CVO AK Srivastava and other senior officers of NHPC along-with their families. NHPC Ladies Welfare Association President Sudha Singh and other members of ladies welfare association were also present on the occasion.   

Speaking on the occasion Singh extended his best wishes for Vasant season to all. He said that the past year had been full of challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic but NHPC faced these challenges and continued power generation on a 24×7 basis. He further informed that NHPC has been making excellent progress on various fronts and has been awarded several projects. Singh also informed that NHPC's standalone net profit for the Q3 of FY21 increased by 100 percent to Rs 808 crore against a net profit of Rs 404 crore during the corresponding previous quarter. He further said that NHPC's sales realization from beneficiaries for the current fiscal is Rs 7,633 crore till February 10, 2021 as compared to Rs 7,018 crore during the corresponding period of the previous financial year. He congratulated all NHPC employees for their outstanding performance. 

A number of stalls promoting local handicrafts, dress materials, food delicacies etc. from various states and union territories as J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Assam etc. were set up by NHPC power stations/ projects and NHPC Ladies Club Welfare Association at Vasant Utsav 2021. A special attraction of the Utsav was colorful cultural program featuring traditional folk dances of Uttar Pradesh and performance from renowned Sufi singers Nizami Bandu which enthralled everyone presents on the occasion.
