RINL-VSP is observing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2020’

‘Vigilance Awareness Week-2020’ is being observed in RINL-VSP with a view to create awareness among the employees and its stakeholders to promote integrity and probity in public life

New Delhi: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) is observing the 'Vigilance Awareness Week 2020' from October 27 to November 2, with a view to creating awareness among the employees and its stakeholders to promote integrity and probity in public life.

The Central Vigilance Commission has chosen 'Vigilant India – Prosperous India' as the theme for this year, to emphasize the need to imbibe integrity as a core value. The commission with a belief that citizens and organisations must look inward at a time when the world is facing an unprecedented crisis, appeals to all citizens to actively work towards the promotion of integrity in all aspects of life for the progress of the country.

RINL's CMD PK Rath participated and took the integrity pledge along with the employees at the main Administrative building today on the occasion of the beginning of the awareness week. RINL's Director (Finance) VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Personnel) KC Das, Director (Commercial) DK Mohanty, Director (Operations) AK Saxena, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) K Venkata Nagi Reddy (IDES), Executive Directors, senior officers and other employees were present and took the integrity pledge.

Heads of the departments of VSP with employees at various locations in the plant, mines, liaison and marketing offices outside Vizag also took the Integrity pledge duly following Covid-19 prevention guidelines.

To promote integrity among the employees various webinars and competitions on the theme of the week were conducted in the plant. Taking care of pandemic situation all the competitions and sensitizing programs were conducted in a digital mode like webinars etc. Extensive use of social media platforms, bulk SMS/E-mail, Whatsapp, electronic and print media etc. are being used for spreading awareness.
