New Delhi: In view of the weekend curfew imposed by the Delhi government to control the spread of COVID-19, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced changes in the Metro Rail operations over the weekend (ie April 17 and April 18). In an official announcement, Delhi Metro said that metro services will be available with a headway of 15 minutes across the whole network on the coming weekend in the wake of the curfew imposed by the state government.

Delhi is witnessing a huge spike in COVID-10 cases over the past few weeks. To stop the spread of COVID-19, Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejariwal announced a weekend curfew in Delhi on April 14.

"The two sections, where there is a bifurcation in the network such as Noida/Vaishali of blue line and Kirti Nagar/Inderlok section of the Greenline, the headway will become double ie services will be available after every 30 minutes in these sections," the Delhi Metro said in an official statement.
