Crude oil futures decline on low demand

Crude oil futures on Monday declined by 0.45 per cent to Rs 6,828 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand

New Delhi: Crude oil futures on Monday declined by 0.45 per cent to Rs 6,828 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for August delivery fell by Rs 31 or 0.45 per cent to Rs 6,828 per barrel with a business volume of 9,741 lots.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.11 per cent lower at USD 82.73 per barrel, and Brent crude was down 0.12 per cent to USD 86.14 per barrel in New York.
