IRCON secures Rs 510.47 crore EPC contract for Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Meghalaya

New Delhi: Ircon International Limited (IRCON), a leading public sector engineering and construction company, has announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Meghalaya Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation Limited, Shillong, for a major educational infrastructure project in Meghalaya.

The contract, valued at Rs 510.47 crore, involves the construction of Eklavya Model Residential Schools at eight different locations across Meghalaya. The project will be executed on a Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis (Package-II), and is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.

The award has been granted by the Executive Director (Technical) of the Meghalaya Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation Limited. IRCON clarified that the order is a domestic EPC contract, with no related party transactions involved, and no interest from its promoter group in the awarding entity.

This project win is expected to strengthen IRCON’s footprint in the social infrastructure segment, complementing its established portfolio in transport, railways, highways, and other infrastructure projects.
