IREDA reports 86% growth in loan sanctions, loan book rises to Rs 84,445 crore in H1 FY26

IREDA has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of FY 2025-26, with a sharp rise in loan sanctions and disbursements

New Delhi: State-owned Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of FY 2025-26, with a sharp rise in loan sanctions and disbursements, reaffirming its position as a leading financier of clean energy projects.

According to provisional data, loan sanctions increased by 86 percent to Rs 33,148 crore in the six months ended September 30, as against Rs 17,860 crore in the same period last year. Loan disbursements rose 54 percent year-on-year to Rs 15,043 crore, compared to Rs 9,787 crore in H1 FY 2024-25.

The company’s outstanding loan book expanded to Rs 84,445 crore as of September 30, marking a 31 percent growth from Rs 64,564 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Commenting on the performance, IREDA Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das said, “The momentum achieved in the first half of this financial year is a clear indication of IREDA’s continued leadership in renewable energy financing. We will build on this foundation to further scale up support for clean energy projects in alignment with the nation’s green energy goals.”

Das also expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy, the Minister of State, the Secretary, MNRE, the Board of Directors, and stakeholders for their support and guidance. He further acknowledged Team IREDA for their role in sustaining the company’s growth trajectory.
