New Delhi: ITI Limited has successfully ventured into the security systems and education/ICT sectors. The company has recently bagged two significant contracts, totaling Rs 64 crores, marking a strategic expansion into these domains.
Wi-Fi & LAN Contract from Sambalpur University, Odisha
ITI Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 35 crores from Sambalpur University in Odisha to establish a Campus Wi-Fi and LAN network across 80 locations within the university campus. The project aims to provide seamless internet and intranet connectivity, enhancing the institution’s operational efficiency and academic experience.
The project’s scope includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of the network infrastructure, along with a three-year maintenance period. ITI Limited will deploy a secure wireless controller with advanced features such as user authentication and unauthorized access restriction. This initiative is expected to bolster the university’s digital capabilities significantly.
Integrated Security System Contract from Central Railways
In another milestone, ITI Limited has won a Rs 29.14 crore contract from Central Railways (Mumbai) for implementing an Integrated Security System. This project involves the installation of an IP-based video surveillance system across six key railway stations in Mumbai: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar, Kurla, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, and Kalyan.
The comprehensive scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of over 1,400 cameras, providing enhanced safety and security for passengers. The contract also includes a five-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) following a three-year warranty period. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months of receiving the Letter of Award (LoA).
Commenting on the recent successes, ITI Limited's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Rai said, “We are delighted to secure these contracts, which, though modest in value, are strategically significant as they open up promising avenues in new domains. ITI Limited is committed to delivering the full spectrum of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to educational institutions, Railways, and other clients. The campus Wi-Fi and LAN services will not only enhance students’ learning experiences but also support the institution’s operational and administrative functions.”
Rai further emphasized the company’s enthusiasm and readiness to deliver the projects ahead of schedule. He added, “We are confident that our work will contribute to creating a safer environment for Central Railways passengers.”
These wins add to ITI Limited’s growing portfolio, which recently saw the company secure a Rs 95 crore contract from the Directorate of Geology & Mining, Government of Uttarakhand, for the Mining Digital Transformation & Surveillance System (MDTSS) project.
