International Women’s Day: Delhi Metro has a ‘Ladies Special’ contest for you

The contest is open only to women who can participate in the contest through the DMRC website and submit their slogans in English or Hindi by filling up the form on the website

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is organising a slogan writing competition as well as a photo contest exclusively for its women commuters from February 26 till March 4 to commemorate the International Women's Day which is celebrated every year on March 8 all over the world.

The theme for the contest is, "Think Equal, Build Smart and Innovate for Change – Delhi Metro." The topic of the photo contest is "Gender Balance and Delhi Metro."

"All women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through our website www.delhimetrorail.com and submit their slogans in English or Hindi by filling up the form on the website. The maximum word limit for the slogan is 50 words. Only online entries will be accepted till March 4 (12 am)," an official release said.

Photographs which communicate the message mentioned above can be sent to the email id: dmrciwd2019@gmail.com. The size of the photographs should be less than 10 MB. In addition, the women commuters will also be able to provide their suggestions regarding metro services on the website, www.delhimetrorail.com.

"A substantial percentage of Delhi Metro's commuters comprises of women. Delhi Metro has always strived to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free journey to all its women commuters in the form of reserved seats in each coach and a separate ladies' coach," an official release said.

The selected entries will be suitably awarded at a function on March 8 at Delhi Metro's Corporate Office — Metro Bhawan.
