Ankur Baruah set to be next Director (HR) of Oil India Ltd

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Ankur Baruah for the post of Director (Human Resources) of Oil India Limited on Wednesday

New Delhi: Ankur Baruah is set to be next Director (Human Resources) of Oil India Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (HR) in the same organisation.

Baruah has been recommended for the post from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel, in its selection meeting number 03/2025, held on January 15. Out of 12 candidates, five candidates were from Oil India, two candidates were from Indian Railways and one each from Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), ONGC Limited, National Textile Corporation Limited, NBCC (India) Limited and Norther Coalfields Limited (NCL).

As Director (HR) of OIL, Baruah will be a member of Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for HR planning and organizing manpower resources, HR polices, performance management, compensation management, secession planning, talent management, training, capability building, employee services, industrial relations, CSR, Security and Legal functions in the organisation.
