New Delhi: Priyank Chaturvedi (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event is earlier. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Department of Revenue.

"He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Higher Education," the order added. 

Chaturvedi is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2010 batch. He is currently serving as Joint Commissioner, Indian Revenue Service.
