

New Delhi: Defence public sector undertaking Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) has appointed Prakash Rajpurohit (IAS) as Government Nominee Director on its Board with effect from June 5.

The company informed stock exchanges on Friday that the appointment has been made in accordance to an order issued by the Ministry of Defence. Rajpurohit, who currently serves as Joint Secretary (Defence Industrial Promotion) in the Department of Defence Production, has been nominated to the Board until further orders from the administrative ministry.
Consequent to the appointment, the tenure of Amit Satija as Government Nominee Director on the Board of MIDHANI has ceased with effect from June 5.

An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2010 Rajasthan cadre, Rajpurohit holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
Before joining the Ministry of Defence, he served as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, where he handled matters related to international investment treaties. During his tenure in the Rajasthan government, he held several key administrative and policy assignments, including positions in district administration as well as commercial taxes and excise administration.
