Fame India & Asia Post recognise ’25 strong women’ in this list

New Delhi: Fame India magazine and Asia Post Survey have recently announced the official list of 25 women of note. The list includes Bhanumathi Narasimhan, Chairperson of the International Women's Conference and International Spiritual Teacher of Art of Living, PV Sindhu in the world's top rankings in Badminton, Rupa Jha, head of BBC India, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, Independent MP Navneet Rana from Maharashtra has achieved a remarkable place in the top five.

Fame India, together with Asia Post, has selected these women from fields of social service, sports, journalism, politics, arts, culture, religion, women empowerment, bureaucracy etc who have made a remarkable contribution to change in the past year. Delhi Women Commission chairperson Swati Maliwal, eminent Spiritual Sisters of the arts sector, Mallika Nadda, active in social service sector in Himachal Pradesh, Rubika Liaquat of ABP News and Senior IRS Officer Seema Raj feature on the Fame India list.

Other names include Rajya Sabha TV's Business Journalist Sonia Singh, IAS officer Sonal Goel, eminent education and Sanskritist Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Seema Samridhi, a lawyer with the Supreme Court, country's first woman Lieutenant Shivangi in the Indian Navy, Dr. Barkha Varsha who has been active in the field of child welfare and women empowerment, and Captain Tanya Shergill of Indian Army.

Not only this, Yogita Bhayana, the famous social worker and father of Pari (People Against Rape in India) movement, Patna Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Sheila Irani from Police Services, Nishi Singh, Founder of Nad Foundation, working in the field of water conservation, Vali Sarika Baheti, Maithili's first e-paper Isamad's editor Kumud Singh, poetess Dr Mansi Dwivedi who has been involved in the health sector, social service and literature, Minister Dr Shikha Rani also feature prominently on the list.

People from different regions from all over the country were consulted in the Fame India and Asia Post survey. In this survey of Empowering Women, Fame India magazine and Asia Post evaluated hundreds of nominations on different criteria. Based on 10 criteria such as social status, influence, reputation, influence on the system, image, purpose and effort, names were shortlisted and 25 strong women have been placed in 25 different categories.
