New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) for extension of Central deputation tenure Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology's Joint Secretary Rajiv Kumar (IFoS). According to a DoPT order, his services have been extended for a period of three months beyond September 17. Rajiv Kumar is a 1988-batch Indian Forest Service Officer (IFoS) officer of Himachal Pradesh. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is an executive agency of the government. It was carved out of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on July 16, 2016, as a standalone ministerial agency responsible for IT policy, strategy and development of the electronics industry. Current, Ravi Shankar Prasad is Union Minister for MeitY.
