New Delhi: The Ministry of Finance has nominated MG Jayasree as Director on the Board of IDBI Bank. She has been nominated for the role in place of SR Mehar, for a period with immediate effect and until further orders whichever is earlier. She is currently serving as Deputy Director-General in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance. This information has been shared by the Bank in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Tuesday.

In her current role, she is responsible for data analysis, information technology, implementation of e-Office, UN e-government index and digital services, etc.

Punjab & Sind Bank is an Indian nationalised bank. It is under the ownership of the Ministry of Finance with its head office located in New Delhi. As of 31 March 2020, the bank has 1526 branches which are widely spread across India out of which 635 branches are in the state of Punjab, and 25 zonal offices are located all over India.
