New Delhi: The Ministry of Mines on Tuesday in a statement said that the Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI) has achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving accreditation from National Accreditation Board of Education and Training (NABET). This recognition acknowledges the institute's invaluable contributions and the exceptional standards it upholds in the field of earth science training, it added.

Assessment for accreditation

The statement also highlighted that the accreditation was granted after a thorough assessment of GSITI's standard operating procedures and methodologies at various levels. A team comprising representatives from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), NABET, and Quality Control of India conducted an on-site evaluation, ultimately awarding GSITI the Certificate of Accreditation with the distinguished grade of Athi Uttam, it added.
