Dr Jayachandran K appointed as Director (Technical) of FACT Limited

New Delhi: Dr Jayachandran K has been appointed as Director (Technical) of Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment on Tuesday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dr Jayachandran has been appointed as Director (Technical) of FACT Limited for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. May 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in the same organisation.

Earlier, PSU Watch had reported when Dr Jayachandran was recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of FACT Limited by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on July 7, 2022. He was selected for the post from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed for the position.

As Director (Technical) of FACT, Dr Jayachandran will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will act as head of the technical and operations division of the company. His responsibilities will be to exercise of control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner which would ensure optimum utilization of resources.
