Oil India join hands with CSIR for collaborative research and technology development

New Delhi: Oil India Limited (OIL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to foster collaborative research, innovation, and technology development in the energy sector.

The MoU has been signed by OIL CMD and CSIR Director General in the presence of NRL MD, other Directors of OIL and senior officials of both the organisations at OIL House, Noida on June 15.

According to an official statement, this MoU aims to leverage the strengths of both the organisations in advancing cutting-edge technologies and providing innovative solutions in the areas of upstream and downstream oil and gas operations, hydrocarbon reservoir optimisation, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), renewable energy, sustainable energy practices and critical minerals.

The collaboration will facilitate the development of efficient and cost-effective solutions, focussing on operational efficiency.

“The MoU underscores OIL’s commitment to strengthening its technological capabilities through strategic collaborations with premier research institutions of the country. This marks a significant step towards promoting innovation-driven growth and supporting the nation’s energy security objectives.” OIL further added.
