RailTel Recruitment 2022: RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) has released a job notification for the engagement of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before May 5. The CMD post in RailTel will fall vacant on May 11, 2022. Currently, Puneet Chawla is serving as CMD on RailTel Board.
The CMD is the Chief Executive of the company and is accountable to its Board of Directors and Government/ Shareholders. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the company for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
Pay scale: Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 3,70,000 (IDA)
Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years
The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-
Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)
Engineering graduate or Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or Graduate with MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM) from a leading Institute.
The applicant should possess five years' cumulative experience or exposure in the last ten years in Telecommunication & Information Technology sector at a senior level of management in an organisation of repute.
Note (i) Applicants from Central Government / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Additional Secretary in the Government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.
(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Lt. General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force on the date of application.
Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position on the date of application.
