New Delhi: The central government has approved the proposal for the appointment of Rasaal Dwivedi (IRS) as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industry Hardeep Singh Puri in the Department of Commerce. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dwivedi has been appointed to the post at Deputy Secretary level for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dwivedi is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2011-batch. He is currently serving as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Hardeep Singh Puri. He is an Engineering Graduate (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur. He also did a Post Graduate Diploma of Management in Finance and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He is skilled in finance, management consulting, SPSS, project planning, business analysis, risk management, business strategy.
