The ACC has approved the appointment of Sruti Pathak to the position of Second Secretary (Hindi & Culture) at the High Commission of India in Port Louis, Mauritius

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sruti Pathak to the position of Second Secretary (Hindi & Culture) at the High Commission of India in Port Louis, Mauritius. This deputation is under the Ministry of External Affairs. Presently, Pathak is serving as Assistant Director (Official Language) at the Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ), Ministry of Defence.

Pathak's tenure in her new role will be for a period of three years, commencing from the date she assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Her appointment is aimed at strengthening the cultural and linguistic ties between India and Mauritius, a nation with a significant Indian diaspora.

Pathak brings with her a wealth of experience in promoting the official language and cultural initiatives, particularly within the Ministry of Defence. Her expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing India’s cultural outreach in Mauritius, further fostering bilateral relations between the two countries.
