Power Grid celebrated its 35th raising day across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid), a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power, celebrated its 35th raising day across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik joined the 35th Raising Day celebrations with Power Grid family at Gurugram on October 23. He congratulated Power Grid CMD RK Tyagi and team for enabling One Nation, One Grid, One Frequency and realizing the dream of making one of the largest synchronous grids of the world.

He also praised Power Grid's role in Energy Transition.

As on September 30, Power Grid has commissioned and is operating 279 Sub-stations and more than 1,78,195 ckm transmission lines and 537,276 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, Power Grid has been able to maintain average transmission system availability of about 99.8 percent.
