New Delhi: The Indian Steel Association (ISA) has awarded the prestigious 'Gender Diversity' award to Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) Deputy General Manager (HR) Dr Dasari Radhika at the Indian Steel Conclave 2024 held in New Delhi. This recognition highlights her commitment to promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the steel industry.
The award was presented by Nagendra Nath Sinha, former Secretary of the Ministry of Steel in the presence of industry leaders and dignitaries.
RINL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Atul Bhatt congratulated Dr. Radhika on this achievement, emphasizing the pride it brings to the organisation.
With a career spanning 28 years, Dr. Radhika has made significant contributions to RINL as a seasoned HR professional. She has been instrumental in pioneering HR practices in challenging environments and breaking gender barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Dr. Radhika has consistently navigated industrial relations with a compassionate approach, focusing on employee welfare, conducting regular shop floor meetings, and offering psychological counseling inspired by her academic background in psychology and research on work-life balance.
The ISA's 'Gender Diversity' award recognises Dr. Radhika's efforts to create an inclusive workplace culture at RINL, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting equity and fairness in the challenging environment of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
