RINL get awards at ICQCC 2019 in Tokyo, Japan

Quality circle teams from RINL-Vizag Steel have been awarded at International Convention on Quality Control Circles 2019 held at Tokyo, Japan

Visakhapatnam: Quality circle teams from RINL-Vizag Steel have won laurels at 'International Convention on Quality Control Circles' (ICQCC 2019) held at Tokyo, Japan recently. At the conclave quality circle teams from RINL's Coke Ovens department and LMMM (Light and Medium Merchant Mill) departments were awarded the prize under 'Gold' category and the team from Roll Shop was awarded under the 'Silver' category.

The RINL teams were led by RINL's Director (Personnel) KC Das. "The presentations made by RINL teams were well appreciated by the judges and other teams from different countries as well. The teams also responded confidently to the queries raised by the jury," RINL said in a press release. The convention was organised by JUSE (Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers).

In the convention 20 countries- Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, China, Bangladesh, Philippines, Zambia, Mauritius, Mexico, UK, USA etc participated and 211 case studies were presented.

38 companies from India participated at ICQCC 2019

From India 38 companies such as BEML Limited, SAIL, IISCO Burnpur, BEL, NTPC Limited, GAIL (India) Limited, JSW, JUSCO, Jindal Steel & Power, Aditya Birla Capital, VISA Steel Limited, RCF Limited, Dalmia Cement, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, Sundaram Clayton Limited, TATA Steel Limited, Apollo Tyres Limited, Ashok Leyland, Honda Cars India Limited, Wheels India Limited, TVS Motors, Reliance, L&T etc were participated and presented 58 case studies. In August, two employees from Vizag Steel Plant had won one silver and one bronze medal at Yonex BWF World Senior Badminton (WBF) Championship held at Katowice, Poland.
