Sanjeev Razdan assumes charge as CMD of Pawan Hans

New Delhi: Sanjeev Razdan has taken over as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Pawan Hans Limited (PHL), the company that makes the national helicopter carrier, on Tuesday. According to an official statement, Razdan has been appointed as CMD of Pawan Hans for a five-year tenure. Prior to this, he was working as General Manager (Western Region) in the same organisation.

Razdan is a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) graduate in Aeronautical Engineering, with an MBA in Aerospace. He has a vast experience of 30-plus years.

Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) is a helicopter service company based in New Delhi. Pawan Hans is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Its chopper, Pawan Hans, has cumulatively flown more than 1 million hours and has had 2.5 million landings on its fleet since its formation. The operations are based at Juhu Aerodrome in Vile Parle (West), Mumbai.

It has been providing service to Vaishno Devi for devotees, inter-island ferry services in Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the last 26 years and services to Lakshadweep Administration by ferrying people from islands to Kochi international airport.
