Deb Kalyan Mohanty assumes charge as CMD of RINL-VSP

New Delhi: Deb Kalyan Mohanty has been given additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of RINL-VSP. According to an official statement released by the company, Mohanty has been assigned with the additional responsibility with effect from July 1, 2021, till the regular incumbent joins the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Earlier, Mohanty has as Director (Commercial) of RINL-VSP since August 1, 2019 till the date of joining CMD's chair. Prior to joining RINL-VSP, he has worked as Executive Director, Chairman Secretariat in Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). He holds an M Tech degree from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in Materials Science and Technology.

Mohanty started his career in SAIL as a Management Trainee (Technical) in 1986. He has worked in various assignments in SAIL starting with Bhilai Steel Plant and as a Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Head of Export Group in Marketing Division during his long tenure of 33 years in SAIL.
