Umesh Singh joins Hindustan Copper Ltd as Executive Director (Mining)

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Umesh Singh as Executive Director (Mining) of the company

New Delhi: Umesh Singh has joined Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) as Executive Director (Mining) with effect from September 18, 2023. HCL is a Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines. He has assumed the charge of the post on September 18, at the company's corporate office, the Mining PSU said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday.

Singh is a Mining Engineer, possessing a B. Tech (Hons) in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, lndia (1993). He also possesses 1st Class Manager's Certificate of Competency for Coal Mine issued by DGMS Dhanbad.

Singh has more than 30 years of experience in mining operation, safety and management. Prior to joining Hindustan Copper Ltd, Singh was serving as Additional General Manager (Mining), Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project, NTPC Limited. He has also worked in Thiess Indonesia, Abhijeet Group and GMDC Ltd.
