New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by the Prime Minister has approved proposals of Ministry of Home Affairs for the promotion of these four IPS officers on Monday.
Sudhir Kumar Saxena (IPS), who is currently working as Additional Director General (DG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has been promoted to the rank of Special Director General in CISF. According to the DoPT order he has been promoted to the rank on 'in-situ' basis from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till further orders, whichever is earlier. Saxena is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Madhya Pradesh.
Arun Kumar Sinha (IPS), who is currently posted as Director in Special Protection Group (SPG), has been promoted to the grade of Director General (DG). He has been promoted to the grade of DG by temporarily upgrading the post of Director, SPG to the level of DG, as a measure personal to the officer. Sinha is a 19987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Kerala cadre.
Sanjay Chander (IPS), who is currently working as Additional Director General (ADG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been promoted to the rank of Special Director General in CRPF. According to the DoPT order, he has been promoted to the rank against available vacancy, for a period with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till further orders, whichever is earlier. Chander is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the West Bengal cadre.
Surendra Pawar (IPS), who is currently working as Additional Director General in Border Security Force (BSF), has been promoted to the rank of Special Director General in BSF. According to the DoPT order, he has been promoted to the rank, against available vacancy, with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till further orders, whichever is earlier. Pawar is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Odisha cadre.
