New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of several officers for Joint Secretary / Joint Secretary equivalent-level posts on Tuesday. Here is the full list of newly appointed officers:
Muthukrishnan Sankaranarayanan (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). He has been appointed to the post in place of Richa Bagla (IAS) for a combined tenure of seven years up to October 24, 2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sankaranarayanan is a 2003-batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre.
Shobhit Gupta (IRSEE) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. He has been appointed to the post in place of Satyendra Kumar Mishra (IRS) for a period with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto March 1, 2025 or until further orders. Gupta is an IRSEE of 2000-batch.
Vimal Anand (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. He has been appointed to the post in place of Nidhi Mani Tripathi (IAS) from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years up to December 9, 2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Monalisa Dash (IFoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MoDNER). She has been appointed to the post in place of Harpreet Singh (IPoS) for an overall tenure of five years up to October 11, 2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rahul Jain (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Sixteenth Finance Commission under the Department of Economic Affairs. Jain has been appointed to the post from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to November 3, 2024, which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ranjit Singh (IA&AS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. He has been appointed to the post in place of Sanoj Kumar Jha from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years up to March 21, 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rajeev Kumar (IOFS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He has been appointed to the post in place of Sumita Singh (CSS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure up to March 5, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Vrunda Manohar Desai (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Desai has been appointed to the post in place of Vikram Sahay (IRS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to April 12, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Navin Agarwal (IRPS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Investment & Public Asset Management. He has been appointed to the post in place of Parama Sen (IA&AS) with from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to March 14, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mahendra Kumar (IRSEE) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment. Kumar has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post and an overall tenure of five years up to May 22, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily upgrading the post of Director held by the officer to JS level, to be further adjustable against a regular vacancy of Joint Secretary in the Ministry.
Vivek Kumar Bajpai (IRSME) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines. He has been appointed to the post in place of UC Joshi (IRTS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to March 22, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rajiv Manjhi (CSS) has been appointed as Director in the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). He has been appointed to the post in place of Sumita Singh (CSS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on September 30, 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Jai Prakash Pandey (IRPS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post in place of Pushpendra Rajput (IAS) from the date of assumption of charge of the post for a combined tenure of seven years up to February 20, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Abhishek Bhagotia (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary as Lokpal, Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post in place of Navin Agarwal (IRPS) from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to April 3, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Lal Chhandama (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development. He has been appointed to the post in place of Abhishek Bhagotia (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Debolina Thakur (IA&AS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. He has been appointed to the post in place of Sanjay Pandey (ICAS) from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rahul Kashyap (CSS) has been appointed as Secretary in the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) under the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. He has been appointed to the post in place of RK Khandelwal (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
“In view of declaration of elections to the Lok Sabha, if any of the officers mentioned in the instant communication are on election related duty, they may kindly be relieved after due clearance from the Election Commission of India to take up their new assignment,” the order further reads.
