Asheesh Joshi (IAS) appointed as Director, Kapil Verma (IDSE) as Deputy Secretary in Petroleum Ministry

• Asheesh Joshi (IAS), who was recommended for the Central Deputation by the state government of Uttarakhand, has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Petroleum Ministry

New Delhi: Asheesh Joshi (IAS), who was recommended for the Central Deputation by the state government of Uttarakhand, has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Petroleum Ministry. He has also been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas," the order further added. 

In another order issued on the same day Kapil Verma (IDSE) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas by DoPT. He was recommended for the Central Deputation by the Ministry of Defence. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas," the order further added. 

Verma is an Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) of the 2004-batch. He is currently serving in his cadre. He is an Engineering Graduate (BE in Mechanical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.
