

New Delhi: KPI Green Energy on Friday said that it has secured an order worth Rs 621 from NTPC Renewable Energy for a balance of system package pertaining to the development of 500-MW solar PV projects at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
In a solar PV project, the balance of system package includes work related to electrical hardware, mounting structures and other infrastructure.

The notifications of award came from NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, KPI Green Energy said in a regulatory filing.
The contract is divided into two blocks of 300 MW and 200 MW, and includes the scope of supply of plant and equipment, inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing and commissioning, civil and allied works, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance services for three years from the commercial date of operation, plus a 10-year AMC (annual maintenance contract).
The aggregate contract value is Rs 621 crore, excluding GST, comprising Rs 367 crore for the 300-MW block and Rs 254 crore for the 200-MW block, the company said.

This project marks the company's entry into Rajasthan, one of India's most prominent renewable energy hubs, it said.
