RITES appoints Atul Singh as Govt Nominee Director on its board

New Delhi: RITES Limited on Wednesday announced the appointment of Atul Singh as Part-Time Government Nominee Director on its Board.

The company said that the Ministry of Railways, through its letter dated May 27, informed that the President of India has approved Singh’s appointment. He will serve on the Board till he holds the post of Principal Executive Director (Production Units/ Workshops & Innovation) at the Railway Board, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

RITES stated that the appointment has been made in compliance with SEBI regulations and that the company is taking necessary steps to complete the statutory requirements related to the appointment.

According to the company, Singh is currently serving as Principal Executive Director (Production Units/ Workshops & Innovation) at the Railway Board. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and belongs to the 1991 batch of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME).

With more than 30 years of experience in Indian Railways, Singh has also served on central deputation in the Ministry of Commerce between 2012 and 2017.
